I picked up our pottery from our painting activity on Saturday. B and T both think my mug looks professional. :-) While I don't agree, I am pretty happy with it.
The 'bad': The polka dots inside (that were starting to feel too girly and silly as I did them) didn't show up that well, and the white I sponged along the top outside didn't show at all. Also, the last glaze I did over the browns is too streaky - you can tell what size brush I used, and there are some white spots I am not liking.
The good: I like the colors and the shape and feel of the mug is good. T thinks it looks like snow on mountains, and I do like the organic nature of it.
Some of the bright cheery inside. The green polka dots are between larger circles that you can just barely see if you look closely. The bottom of the mug has too concentric green circles over a speckled white base.
You can see the brush strokes along the bottom of the glaze I did over the browns. See also the white stripe coming off the bottom of the handle - must have scraped off some glaze at that point. Do you like the hills and valleys though?
T's tank looks good and he likes it. B's mug is cheery stripes. I think B might feel it is too bright, but so it goes.
